How
do I check out a book?
You
bring the book and your school ID to the library's circulation counter.
How
long can I keep a library book?
Library
materials (including magazines and audio-books are checked out for
two weeks, but you can renew them for another two weeks.
How
many books can I check out a time?
You
may have up to three books checked out in your name at any time.
I
forgot my ID. Can a friend check out my book for me?
NO!
You must have your ID to check out a book. We are happy to hold a book for
you for one day so you can come back with your ID to get it. Checking out a book for another person makes you responsible for that book, even if they lose it. If you are caught checking out books for others you will lose your library privileges for one month. If you do it again...
Are
there late fines?
Late
books are charged at 10 cents per item, per day. There is a $5 maximum fine set for each item.
Can I
use the computers?
The
computers are available to all students on a first come, first served basis. Just like checking out books, you must have your ID to use the computers. Bring your school ID to the circulation desk and you will be assigned a computer.
What
can I do on the computers?
The
computers are for research and writing, both personal and academic. You have already signed the district Acceptable Use Policy. If you can't remember the do's and don'ts, click here to refresh your memory.
Can I
print and make photocopies?
Yes.
We have a printer that prints in both color and b&w. See posted signs for instructions on printing. Printing costs are $.10 for b&w and $.20 for color printing. The photocopier only makes b&w copies and is $.10 per page.
What
are the library rules?
No
food, drink, candy, etc.
No cell phones or other electronics (games, iPods, etc.)
Behave as you should in a school library!
When
is the library media center open?
We
are open almost all day from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The library is closed during period 4.
